How MindYourPass Ensures Privacy

MindYourPass has come up with a smart way to manage passwords (highly sensitive personal data) without storing them. Instead of using a digital vault, the password manager generates passwords when you need them. This means that no sensitive information is stored that can be hacked or stolen.

Another special aspect is that users remain completely anonymous. MindYourPass doesn't even store email addresses. In contrast to most online services, which just want to collect as much personal data as possible.

Privacy-by-design in practice

The principle of privacy-by-design is woven into everything MindYourPass does. This means that, with every decision in the design process, we consider how to protect user privacy. Our approach is therefore 100% GDPR compliant and recognized with the Data Pro certificate.

For companies, MindYourPass offers an interesting service called the Online Security Risk Assessment. This scan analyses employee login activities, but does so in a privacy-friendly way. It gives companies insight into their online (password) security without compromising the privacy of individual employees.

MindYourPass as an AVG tool

Another powerful thing about MindYourPass is that it can act as an AVG tool. In the event of a data breach cyber incident, a user's privacy can be temporarily lifted for investigation. This temporary removal of privacy can never be done by MindYourPass alone or by the organization alone. It is a collaboration, where the organization remains fully in control of the personal data. This allows us to continue to guarantee zero knowledge at MindYourPass, even during an investigation. Once the investigation is completed, the user's privacy will be fully restored. This shows how MindYourPass strikes a balance between security and privacy.
